I am a firm believer that theatre and film has the power to influence society. I therefore focus my energy completely on my roles to provide the most engaging performance for the audience. Through my study of yoga I have become more in tune with the inner workings of the human mind and the body. I now use such discoveries in my character creation for a role. In addition, by learning to focus the mind on the present I have developed the stamina to be present throughout every rehearsal and on stage or film. I bring a bright, energetic and determined energy to a cast and feel comfortable in my own self to connect with others on multiple levels.
I have devised and ran a TIE performance about the displacement of the homeless due to commercial progress. This was performed at Futures with students aged 13-14
I have lead sessions with people who are homeless from 57 West, Southend on Sea, to look into creating an alternative, fairer society that could include them.
At St. Ceds, I worked with a group of young people aged 9-10, giving them a safe place to express themselves and learn to respect each other.
Nazereth House house provided us with elderly participants that we created a Reminiscence Theatre piece to play moments of their lives back to them.
